1) What is an access code?
An access code is a 6 digit alpha-numeric code that you can use to access your school account. You will need this code to conduct tests, view student details and view teacher reports.
2) Do I need to schedule or plan tests in advance?
No, there is no need to plan a test in advance in the system. We recommend that you prepare a timetable that you can follow to conduct the tests so that your students are aware.
3) Is there a restriction on when I can schedule the tests?
No, you can do the test anytime after you have received your access code and have tried a few demo tests.
4) How many students can take the test at a given time?
This will depend on your internet speed and the number of computers available. You will need a 1 Mbps internet connection (for non-proctored tests) and 8 Mbps internet connection (for proctored tests) for 40 students to do the test simultaneously.
5) Do students get the same or different papers?
No, each student gets a different set of questions which are dynamically generated.
6) Is there a video/document that I can view/read before I start using the account?
7) What is a test code?
A test code is a 4-digit number which is class, section and subject specific. Students have to enter this test code to start a test. This code can be generated by anyone who has the school access code.
8) What will happen when the test code expires?
When a test code expires, no new students from that class and section can take the test anymore using this code. The students who have already started the test using this test code may continue taking it.
9) What should I do if the test code expires and I want more students to do the test?
You can generate a new test code for those students.
10) Should I be available when a test is going on?
Yes, you are responsible for generating the test code which the students need to start the test. This must be done just before the students start the test. You also need to be present to re-login a student, if needed.
11) What does it mean to enable re-login?
Sometimes, a student may accidentally get logged out or close his/her browser. In that case, the student can resume the test by using the same test code and student ID but he/she will need you to enable re-login for them. This is to preserve the sanctity of the test.
For proctored tests:
12) Can I end the test for a particular student?
Yes. On the proctoring page, you can end the test for a specific student by clicking on the red cross button on that student's tile.
13) Can I monitor a real time video feed of the student?
No. However, you can view the images that have been clicked using the students' webcams. These images are clicked at intervals of 30 seconds and give you a good picture of the students' behaviour. In addition, you can download the images taken of a single student or your entire class of students after the test is completed.
